Meet the Instructors

Personalized instruction. A shared passion for flight.

Joeseph George, Chief Flight Instructor at AVI8RS Pilot Academy.
Chief Flight Instructor

Joseph George

CFI · CFII

Safety and clear communication are at the core of Josephs teaching style. He believes every student learns at their own pace, and tailors his approach to fit your unique learning style. Aviation can be challenging at times, but he encourages a positive, focused, and open environment where questions are always welcome. Joseph can help provide accelerated instruction based around your schedule and budget in mind. He understands first hand what it was like to work full time while progressing through the entirety of his flight training and can help provide tips and tricks to staying on track.

Outside the Cockpit: You can usually find Joseph exploring parks and cafe's, 3D printing, working on his A&P certifications, playing Magic with friends, and trying to make a dent on the ever incessant laundry grind.

Ahmad Serhan

CFI · CFII

Ahmad is invested in every student’s success and will go the extra mile to help them cross the finish line. He gets to know how each student learns, adapts his teaching, and keeps training focused so they can make the most of their time and budget. From day one, he encourages the habits and high standards of a professional pilot, with steady support through every challenge and milestone.
As a career changer, Ahmad knows what it’s like to wonder whether becoming a pilot is within reach. He didn’t realize it was attainable until he did the research and took a discovery flight. That first flight had him hooked and inspired a new career. He hasn’t looked back, and now loves helping others discover what’s possible for themselves.

Off the clock, Ahmad is chasing new destinations and new flavors. Whether it’s a pickup game with friends or a cozy gaming session on a rainy day, he’s always up for a good time.

Matthew Kock

CFI

Matthew believes every student is unique and flight instruction should reflect that. He takes a hands-on, personalized approach, adapting each lesson to the student’s learning style, needs, and goals. With safety at the foundation, he emphasizes open communication and encouragement. His support extends beyond the cockpit, he’s always a call or message away to help students succeed.

Outside aviation, Matthew shares a unique family connection: he has a twin sister and another sister born exactly 11 months later. The three consider themselves “Irish triplets,” and every November, they’re all the same age.
